What we collect and what we do with it

Who we are

This website, watercraftbrokers.com, is operated by WB Brokers ("we", "us"). We are a buyer's agent and brokerage for boats and personal watercraft.

Information you give us

We collect information only when you choose to send it through a form on this site:

• Boat search: the kind of boat you want, budget, ZIP code, how you plan to use it, tow vehicle and storage, timeline, how you plan to pay, your first name, and an email address or phone number.
• Deal check: details of the boat and the quote you were given, anything you type into the notes field, your first name, and an email address or phone number.
• Contact form: your first name, an email address or phone number, the topic, and your message.

Please do not send Social Security numbers, bank account numbers, card numbers or copies of identity documents through these forms. We do not ask for them here.

Information collected automatically

• Form submissions record the page you sent the form from, the date and time, and your IP address. We use this to spot spam and abuse.
• Server logs. Like nearly every website, our hosting provider keeps standard logs of requests (IP address, browser type, pages requested, time). We use them for security and troubleshooting.
• Cookies and analytics. This site does not set advertising cookies and does not currently run any analytics or tracking scripts. If that changes, this page will be updated first.

How we use your information

• To reply to you and provide the service you asked about
• To evaluate a boat, a quote or a listing on your behalf
• To keep records of our work with you
• To protect the site against spam and misuse

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with dealers, lenders, surveyors or anyone else for their marketing. If you hire us, we will share only what is needed to work your deal, such as giving a seller your name when making an offer, and only as part of that work.

Service providers

• Email delivery. Form submissions are delivered to our team by email, using a transactional email provider and our web host. Those providers process the message in order to deliver it.
• Fonts. Page typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts. Your browser requests the font files from Google's servers, which means Google receives your IP address and browser details as part of that request.
• Hosting. The site is served through our hosting and content delivery providers, who process requests in order to show you the page.

Texts and calls

If you give us a phone number, we may call or text you about the request you sent. Message and data rates may apply. You can tell us to stop at any time and we will.

How long we keep it

We keep inquiries for as long as needed to respond and to maintain ordinary business records, and then delete or anonymize them. You can ask us to delete your information sooner.

Your choices

You can ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or tell us to stop contacting you. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state law. Send requests through the contact page and we will respond.

Children

This site is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will post the new version here and update the date at the top.
